Government to implement e-invoicing for the taxpayers having aggregate turnover exceeding Rs. 10 Cr from 01st October 2022.
The CBIC has issued Notification No. 17/2022 – Central Tax dated August 01, 2022 to amend Notification No. 13/2020 – Central Tax, dated March 21, 2020 to decrease the e-Invoicing limit from 20 crore to 10 crore w.e.f. October 01, 2022.
Accordingly, Indian businesses with an annual aggregate turnover of more than Rs.10 crore up to Rs.20 crore, as calculated in any preceding financial year from 2017-18 up to 2021-22, must begin generating e-invoices from 1st October 2022.
Recently, e-invoicing sandbox has been enabled for testing for taxpayers with turnover between Rs. 10 crore and Rs. 20 crore.
